Root End Surgeries are also known as an APICOECTOMY and are needed when we cannot get to the very end of a root during a Root Canal Treatment or Re-treatment, or if there has been a large area of infection that your body cannot heal on its own.

Most patients do very well with surgeries and heal quickly.  The process will feel similar to any other dental work.  Fortunately, during the procedure,you will keep your teeth together instead of opening up wide, which is easier for most of our patients.  You will leave with a few stitches that will resorb on their own over time.
